DAV Public School, S.E.C.L. Pandavpara,  a CBSE affiliated Senior Secondary school, set amidst the lush – green environment of Baikunthpur Area  turned a new leaf and started imparting education in English Medium from 8th August 2008. As per the agreement between DAV College Managing Committee , New Delhi and South Eastern Coal Fields Limited, the school structure is a composite co-educational Senior Secondary School from class L.K.G. to class XII on Public School lines in a phased manner.

The School is directly governed and controlled by DAV College Managing Committee, New Delhi. However the day-to-day management of school including financial control vests with the Local Managing Committee. Presently the school is running in a vast campus with 28 sections having a student strength of 1100 & staff strength of 50.

The school has been very efficiently guided by the Regional Directors of MP-CG Zone of DAV  Organization & is continuously upgrading itself to achieve all round perfection.

Being a Project School, run by SECL, Jhilimili Sub Area, Baikunthpur Area, all amenities like water, electricity, furniture, science equipment, sports materials, library books etc. are also being provided by the enterprise as per the requirements. The school can boast that it has full support of parents and the Local Management. The Chairmen of LMC, viz, the General Managers of SECL, Baikunthpur Area and the Sub Area Managers of Jhilimili Sub Area, SECL, Baikunthpur are always lending unconditional support to prosper the school.
By adopting the DAV mission the school is marching forward with feathers of new achievement in its cap every year & will continue to do so in future.
